Customize the In-Class Experience For Your Students
You can choose the level of involvement you would like to have for your school, your students and your classroom! Each of the experiences listed below includes a book for each student and so much more. Read through the In-Class Experiences and choose the level of interaction you would like your students to have with the author of the book they will be reading!
Book Club
Each student receives a copy of their teacher's choice of books. Teachers receive a list of insightful questions for each chapter. Students have the opportunity to interact with the author through an email Q&A session where students are answered with a personal and encouraging response. John Robert Baumgartner has answered every question from "How did you get the idea for that book?" to the very creative query "Do you know how to dance the Cha-Cha?"
First Edition
Along with everything listed in the "BOOK CLUB" option above, there is also an in-class experience with author/speaker John Robert Baumgartner. Students can discuss the book, ask questions and have the author of the book they hold in their hands explain the process that led to the writing of Like Losing Your Left Hand; Rori's Ghost: The Secret of the Stone Stairs; So Ends the Immortal, or Beyond the Point.
Signature Series
Building on the FIRST EDITION, this experience adds an in-class book signing for each student AND along with the Q&A session, John Robert Baumgartner will share a presentation on your choice of writing related topics (see presentation page for options). Having the author of the book your class is reading present in the classroom is an exciting and motivating experience for your students.
The Watermark Experience
This fully immersive experience for your students includes everything listed in the first three experiences but adds something special for your entire school. Along with the in-class activities, John Robert Baumgartner will also share a school-wide assembly presentation, "Writing Your Own Story - Overcoming the Bad Chapters." This presentation provides an inclusive message of encouragement and inspiration to all students to pursue their dreams and overcome obstacles.
